Spotlight Questionnaire with Meredith College Alumni Anna Haddock

Q: When did you graduate?
A: I graduated from Meredith College in May 2018.

Q: What did you go to school for?
A: I first enrolled at Meredith College for the Fashion Merchandising program, but after my first year switched and I now have a B.S. in Foods & Nutrition.

Q: Why do you wear your ring?
A: I wear my ring for two main reasons. 1, it reminds me of how many years of learning I went through and that I am capable of so much. 2, it helps me with many fellow Meredith grads when I am out and about. It never stops feeling special when someone stops you in line at the store to ask if you also went to Meredith.

Q: What do you do for work?
A: I am on the Marketing Team for a local automotive group. When I'm not at my full time job, I am working as a lifestyle & travel blogger at The Coffee Table Blog. I also am a photographer and have an online shop where I sell my Meredith mugs and other fun products!

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Movie going. (pre-pandemic) Going out to every new restaurant. Photography, travel, blogging, and cooking.

Q: How do you stay connected to Meredith now that you are an Alumni?
A: I stay connected through my shop where I sell my Meredith mugs for different traditions. I love when I have students purchase a mug and we get to talk and I stay informed about what things are like on campus. It feels like reliving my college experience a little every time. I have also participated in things like doing presentations for Meredith student organizations and set up at the MC Tech Fair to showcase my blogging career.

Q: What does your ring mean to you?
A: To me, the ring is a symbol of connection. Though I went to college with people from all different backgrounds, we all have Meredith in common. It is my reminder that no matter who you meet, we are all human and each have unique things we are going through that you can't see on the outside.

Q: What do you like best about your class ring?
A: Other than the fact that it matches everything and is my best accessory, I love all the random small talk and meeting new people that it brings. I think in life, it is important to interact with new people a few minutes each day. My class ring makes that easy for me!
