"The development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity and
Brotherhood Among Men."
Originally written by the 12 founders, these words launched the legacy of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity,
Incorporated – founded on September 19, 1963 on the 5th step of Hurt Gymnasium at Morgan State
College (now known as Morgan State University). Capturing that legacy in a sophisticated,
streamlined physical form is the Official Iota Phi Theta Ring.
Rich in symbolism, this classic ring features 12 stones set upon the ring top, each honoring one of
the organization’s founders. In the center of the stones appears the Greek letters of the
fraternity.
On the left shank of the ring is the Centaur – the mythical figure near and dear to the Men of Iota
Phi Theta. Above the Centaur is the name of the ring owner, providing a touch of personalization
that makes an Iota Brother’s ring truly their own. In a nod to the fraternity’s inception, the right
shank of the ring features the likeness of Hurt Gymnasium in fine detail.
Each piece is individually hand-crafted by the industry’s most trusted experts, using only the finest
materials and most recent technology. Regardless if you are an active student, recent alumni or a
senior member of the fraternity, this official ring is the ultimate way to bond with other brothers
of Iota Phi Theta.
